Hull LINk Factsheets

Hull LINk produce a series of factsheets on various topics.

Current ones are:

Factsheet 1 – Hull LINk, Hull’s Local Involvement Network

LINks (Local Involvement Networks) are being set up across England as part of the Government’s plans to give people a stronger local voice in how health and social care services are planned and run. They replace the Patient and Public Involvement Forums which have now closed down.

This fact sheet explains the role and purpose of Hull LINk.

Factsheet 2 – How Hull LINk is Run -The Governance Framework

LINKs (Local Involvement Networks) have been set up to give communities a stronger voice in how their health and social care services are delivered. It’s vital that LINks are accountable to local communities and properly prepared to carry out their role. An early task for LINks is to put in place clear arrangements which cover how they will operate.

Hull LINk’s Governance Framework has been developed as a set of rules and procedures to ensure that we work in a way that is effective and accountable. Nobody wants to be overburdened with bureaucracy, but LINks need to show that they are well run and have systems in place if things go wrong.

This fact sheet is a summary of the Governance Framework.

Factsheet 3 – How Does Hull LINk Differ From NHS Membership Schemes

There are now a number of ways people can get involved in health and care services. It’s very important that people’s views are taken into account in the design and delivery of services, and indeed the NHS and local authorities are now under a legal duty to involve and consult with the public.

While this is to be welcomed, it’s understandable if people sometimes feel confused by the range of bodies urging them to sign up. This factsheet explains how Hull LINk (Local Involvement Network) differs from the membership schemes being run by NHS Trusts.

Factsheet 4 – Ways You Can Make A Difference
