Health MOT

• Free health assessment services available at Health Central through the state-of-the-art machines. These instantly measure your weight, body mass index, body fat content, blood pressure and heart rate.   

Lose weight

• Why weight? A free and friendly programme, each group runs for 10 weeks, each weekly session lasts for 2 hours and helps people achieve a healthy diet and lose weight. The programme includes cook, taste and exercise sessions.
• Active Lifestyle Service Is a one-to-one service that helps people increase physical activity levels to improve health and lose weight.  

Breast Screening Services

• The Humberside breast screening service is now located at Health Central. Women between 50-70 years of age are invited to attend for a mammogram every three years.  

Stop Smoking Support

• Health Central supports people in Hull who wish to give up smoking, You are more likely to quit successfully if you use the Hull and East Riding NHS Stop Smoking Service than with willpower alone.
• Free services include: one-to-one appointments, practical help to stop smoking and FREE Nicotine Replacement Products like patches or gum.  

Health Information Kiosks

• Health Central offers free-to-use, health information kiosks. They provide instant information on conditions, treatments, local services and healthy living.
• They also provide answers from the NHS Direct Initial Assessment; a quick and easy way to check symptoms and decide whether to seek medical help.
