Healthy Changes Event Report

This event in November 2011 gave an overview of the changes underway in the NHS. Organised by Involve Yorkshire and the Humber, the event included presentations from Regional Voices, the Department of Health and Leeds Metropolitan University.

Among the key messages which emerged at the event were:

  • The importance of building relationships with new commissioners and with Health and Wellbeing Boards.
  • The need for the voluntary sector to play a greater role in influencing the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA)
  • The need for a two pronged approach up to 2013, working with PCT Clusters and the emerging Clinical Commissioning Groups.
  • Building capacity in the voluntary sector to gather and analyse data to provide commissioners with the evidence they need.
