New Project to Support Working Carers

A new project to help people who are looking after family or friends in a caring role, and holding a paid job at the same time has been launched by Hull’s Carers’ Centre.

The ‘Caring At Work’ project is also about engaging with employers around good working practice such as flexible hours, allowing access to a telephone and so on, with the ultimate aim of producing an ‘employers resource pack’ to support employers in this important area.

The Carers’ Centre would like to hear from anyone who is caring and working. They are really keen to showcase good employers, so there would be a little free publicity to promote them too.
