Personalisation Agenda in Social Care

Issue: Major culture change for care providers with a need for information and advice with regards to the new agenda. Vulnerable adults will need protection against gaps in the individual budget agenda.

Progress so far: 

An event took place in June 2009 to provide groups with an overview of the changes that would be taking place, as well as gathering feedback from the groups as to how they felt the changes would affect them and their service users. A full report was produced that took on board all the issues raised and concluded with a number of recommendations. This report was launched at an update event in December 2009 and the report was formally submitted to the Local Authority and Safeguarding Adults Board.
