This group focussed on the specialist services and support that are available to people with Eating Disorders. It examined patient’s experiences of a number of aspects of care such as access to services, services available, waiting times, referral pathways, and information provision.
Progress so far:
- Group has formed a plan of action for conducting the research.
- Research has been conducted into local services, i.e. what is available and how services are accessed.
- Discussions have been held with the local support group S.E.E.D.
- A survey has been conducted to collect peoples views.
The findings have now been presented into a report containing recommendations for improving services and patient’s experiences. THis report was submitted to NHS Hull, Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals, Humber Foundation Trust, City Health Care partnership and Hull City Council.
